![]() (redone all trees, desaturated and darkened grass a tad, smoothed out all fences and guardrails, redone the bump map on the road (turns out I made a mistake and wasnt using the right bump map for the detail map I had. (40mb, new cam, new panoramic background and shader to bump/spec, new tatoo at track start, 5 saved real road profile, Tosch HDR profile included.) ATENTION: To enjoy this track in all its potential you need Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch installed. To install extract in assettocorsa folder. Converted and improved for Assetto Corsa by me. ![]() Makes a very nice difference in game anyhow! Thanks to Richard for providing the original guardrail texture.) Original tracks made by Nick303 and Motorfx, then merged and improved by Kackbratze for rFactor. (new HD guardrails textures, Tosch fixed the background ordering, so the landscape should be matching now. Reduced dust output on the curbs and concrete a tad further. Reduced bump amplification on concrete extensions. Further optimization possible with shadow groups and vis groups. Release Notes by Reiza Studios: This update adds the Nurburgring. ![]() (Repositioned trees, moved and removed tree lines, optmized road, curbs, and scenery objects, merging and splitting them into smaller pieces, and optimized the LODs and shadows all around. Nurburgring Nordschleife has arrived in Automobilista 2, could it be the best version of a track that features on just about every sim racing platform since the advent of its first public appearance on Grand Prix Legends by Papyrus, a quarter of a century ago. (Thanks to Hectari for providing this! Give this a try, it's an amazing in depth review of the track and how to race it) by peeroahh on 15-08-08 13:26: Hey Really nice track A bit long, around 18km I think :P Works perfect but Im having a problem: I use the FSONE 2007 Mod it its MP version. Nordschleife is THE track, it deserves respect! There will be likely many updates to it as well, as I learn more and more, I will be improving the textures and objects over time. Original track by com8.įirst, let me thank the following persons: SPASKIS, Mario Morais, Tosch, Mianiak, Hoover, eth0ne, Richard, Senna12 and likely to be forgetting some. It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a much longer Nordschleife North loop track which was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. Differences between Nordschleife v2.03c and v1.03 final. Its refreshing to have something which tries something different.Plecair, together with help from other, converted Nordschleife to rFactor 2. Original Track created by Team rF-Nordschleife for rFactor. There are already so many games with an realistic approach for this track. Comparing it with a laserscanned version could help here and there but the best thing would be IMHO increasing the resolution somehow but i guess that wont happen without some extensive work from the beamng devs.Įdit: Also i really like your creative approach for this map and orange hell. One thing that felt off for me were the elevation changes in your version but it could also be an optical illusion because the surroundings(forest, fences, curbs etc) are different/missing compared to the original. Considering the track resolution of 1.5m/1.9m you're dealing with in beamng why would we even need a laserscan with a resolution within milimeters? Lets not forget that it was one of the better depictions on the PC of the Nordschleife before the official AC (laserscanned) DLC came out 2015. The best version that can be legally used is the one you are already using. But does it really matter if they're "wrong" in an other way? So why use some ripped model from eg Shift, Pcars1, Forza or that IMHO pretty awful GTR Evolution conversion for Beamng which is floating around here for years. Considering they're making a fair buck of it they wont be really happy if a mod is using that data and "gives it out for free".Įvery other depiction of the nordschleife is more or less accurate. If remember correctly the nürburgring as a company has made exclusivly a laserscan and license it out to different developers(Kunos, Iracing, Slightly Mad etc). Obviously the most accurate versions are based on laserscanned data.
